Designing a Cozy Guest Retreat

Our clients asked us to design a guest suite at their Cape home.  One that allowed visitors to feel like they had their own separate comfortable and beautiful retreat.  With that in mind, we chose fabrics with soft texture, soothing colors, and whimsical patterns for the sitting room.  In lieu of paint, we used a neutral stripe wall-covering to compliment the beautiful fabrics.  The barrel back chairs and ottoman are the perfect place for guests to sit back and relax with a good book or magazine.

In the bedroom area, we used a more dramatic pallette hanging Nina Campbell’s Perroquet wall-paper in black, pairing it with a southern inspired bed beautifully detailed to look like bamboo, and gorgeous iron sconces from Formations.  Designing each area with its own personality defines the spaces giving them each their own purpose. Guests truly feel like they are on vacation when they stay here and that’s just what our client’s hoped for.

A cozy sitting area awaits visitors in this spacious guest suite.
